What Germans think about Brexit

Halloween may well mark the end of the Brexit horror story. After news emerged of the latest extension to the UK's tortuous divorce with the EU, French newspaper Libération questioned whether the process would ever come to an end while Germany's Die Zeit outlined Berlin's view that compromise is vital in this situation. Away from the media, what does the German public think about Brexit?

Polling from ZDF conducted before the latest extension found that most Germans believed a longer Brexit delay would be bad. When asked about what would happen in the future, 73 percent were correct in stating that a longer delay would occur while 14 percent thought the next stage of the arduous process would be a disorderly Brexit.
