UK turnout for the European elections

This year's European Pariliamentary elections have seen the highest turnout rates for 25 years. At the time of writing, 51 percent of eligible voters across the EU voted on the political future of the union - 1994 being the last time this was higher, at 57 percent. In the UK, you don't have to look back quite so far to find a higher rate than that of this weekend, but as our infographic shows, the trend is upward.
