Trump's Iran Approach Increases Conflict

President Donald Trump’s tough stance on Iran could lead to conflict with the Middle Eastern country, according to a new poll conducted by Pew Research Center. More than 1,500 people were surveyed from January 8 to 13, 2020. In total, most Americans agreed that Trump’s interaction with Iran has caused a chance of conflict, but it changes dramatically when broken down by party. An overwhelming majority of Democrats—81 percent—said there was a heightened risk, while many fewer Republicans—26 percent—said there was an increased possibility of war.
