The World Cup's Most Valuable Teams

Out of the 32 teams competing at the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil, Spain has the most expensive squad, coming at $843.6 million U.S. dollars. Spanish clubs and the country’s national team are experiencing a period of incredible success. Real Madrid won the Champion’s League this year while the national team triumphed in the 2010 World Cup in South Africa. This is in addition to taking home the trophy in both Euro 2008 and Euro 2012. Unsurprisingly, the players have seen their collective value skyrocket as a result.
