UK Covid-19 deaths remain at record levels

With the UK now passed the grim milestone of 100,000 deaths within 28 days of a positive Covid-19 test, this chart shows that, far from having edged slowly up to this point, the country's daily deaths figures have been pushing the total upwards at record levels in recent days and weeks. Looking at the seven-day rolling average, the last 14 totals have been over 1,000 - a figure not previously reached at any point during the crisis.
