Women Earn Less than Men in Hollywood

Forbes has just released its rankings for the top earning actresses worldwide. After Gravity's runaway success, Sandra Bullock is on top by a considerable distance with earnings of $51 million between June 2013 and June 2014. Jennifer Lawrence and Jennifer Aniston come second and third with $34 and $31 million respectively.

As impressive as these earnings might seem, they pale in comparison with Hollywood's leading men. While the top five women raked in a total of $153 million, the top five men brought home a staggering quarter of a billion dollars. Robert Downey Jr. leads the way with a whopping $75 million, ahead of Dwayne Johnson with $52 million and Bradley Cooper with $46 million.
