1.1m URL Removal Requests a Day

Google have had 7.8 million URL takedown requests by copyright owners and reporting organizations that represent them in calendar week 33. On average, there are removal requests regarding about 1.1 million URLs each day – one every 8 milliseconds. The number of URLs deleted from Google search results in 2013 have more than doubled compared to the previous year.
