Partnered People Outnumber Singles Almost Everywhere

Coming in second is Saudi Arabia with 72 percent of respondents saying they're in a relationship. In line with the country's traditional lifestyles, 71 percent of reported relationships are matrimonial. The third place is taken up by Spain with 70 percent of people being partnered, this time with a more equal split between married and partnered people, similar to numbers in Poland (67 percent) and Italy (63 percent).
The United States, on the other hand, is a more chronically single country, with the split coming down to 48 percent of young and middle-aged adults partnered and 38 percent single. South Africa is even more skewed towards singles at a 45 percent single to 49 percent partnered individuals.
