Portuguese Hoteliers Most Positive About Their Economic Future, French Least Positive

In a 2022 survey of 1,000 travel accommodation professionals in Europe, hoteliers were asked about how they felt about the economic future of their accommodation business compared to the last six months. Of the nine countries and one region (Nordics) surveyed, Portuguese hoteliers were the most positive about their future prospects, with 58% of Portuguese respondents indicating that their economic future is expected to be positive or very positive. At the other end of the spectrum, France, Greece, and the Netherlands were more conservative about their predictions with only around one in four respondents from these countries expecting their next 6 months to be better than the previous 6 months.

The European Accommodation Barometer 2022 presents the findings of a survey of European accommodation industry professionals commissioned by Booking.com and conducted by Statista. To find out more download the Accommodation Barometer 2022 eBook here.
