Indian Hotels Leverage Digital Platforms to Drive Off-Season Stays

Indian hoteliers view digital travel platforms as a key tool for driving off-season bookings, according to the 2025 India Accommodation Barometer. Nearly half (48%) said they collaborate with digital platforms, including social media and OTAs, to mitigate the effects of seasonality. Alongside digital platforms, hosting events, conferences, or retreats (42%), offering special off-season rates and bundled packages (39%), and adjusting booking and cancellation policies (38%) were also key strategies used to secure year-round relevance.

Other tactics include modifying staff levels and operations (36%), partnering with local attractions or tourism boards (36%), creating unique culinary experiences (28%), and expanding or adapting facilities (27%).
