Duolingo: America's Favorite Online Learning Platform

According to a recent Statista survey, almost one in four Americans (23 percent) have used Duolingo in the past 12 months. This made the language-learning app with the owl mascot the most used online learning platform in the U.S., ahead of the professional development platform LinkedIn Learning, used by 16 percent of respondents in the past year. In third place came Coursera, which partners with top universities (such as Stanford and Yale) and companies to offer online courses, certificates, and degree programs, cited by 12 percent of survey participants.

Of the eight most-used online learning platforms in the U.S., three (Duolingo, Babbel and Rosetta Stone) focus exclusively on languages.
