What Brands Dominate U.S. Fashion Purchases?

The results of a recent Statista survey shines a light on the brands most favored by American consumers when shopping for fashion. When asked from which labels they had purchased in the three months prior, U.S. respondents mostly picked American fashion houses, as our infographic shows: the most often cited brands were Calvin Klein and Levi's, both chosen by 26 percent of respondents. In third position came Tommy Hilfiger, with 18 percent, followed by Ralph Lauren (17 percent).

While these figures take into account purchases made online and in-store, half of respondents in the U.S. said trying clothes on was essential for them while shopping. Over a third (36 percent) of those surveyed by Statista also reported having a favorite brand that they like to buy from, and just over a quarter (26 percent) of respondents admitted to often buying fashion items based on the latest trends.
