What Matters Most to Older Adults in China?
What are the most pressing issues for adults in China today? A recent Statista Consumer Insights survey shows that health care and social security, as well as the country’s economic situation, are the top concerns among respondents overall. Older adults were slightly more concerned than average about national unity, climate change and corruption, while younger respondents were more focused on inflation and education.
Among 18–29 year-olds, the economy was the leading concern (32 percent), followed by unemployment (29 percent). Inflation and health care/social security ranked jointly third, each cited by 28 percent.
