The Republican National Convention in Cleveland draws to a close. Some prominent speakers have shown more or less subtle displeasure at the prospect of sending Donald Trump into the presidential race against Hillary Clinton. But how do the Republicans in Congress feel about Trump?

According to witty research into the level of support Trump can count on from members of congress, there aren’t that many true believers. However, if you count together the eager unifiers and those who endorse Trump reluctantly, the 50 percent threshold is crossed, as our infographic shows.

The non-namers have by definition come out in favour of supporting the “republican nominee” but have never mentioned Trump's name. So, they’re the unknown force in the Republican Party’s representatives in government.
