Household Income Took a Bad Hit During Financial Crisis
The median household income in the United States took a pretty hefty hit following the self-induced collapse of high finance. While banks were bailed out with federal funds the median household income sank from 57.4K in 2007 to 52.6K in 2012. However, it has been on the path of recovery since. This chart of course doesn't show the overall equality of distribution.
