The tech companies' ongoing quest and competition for talent shows in the salaries they are paying. This sector clearly dominates the top ten of best paying U.S. companies compiled by Glassdoor. Seven out of ten firms featured on the list are in the tech biz. However, the top two are consulting firms, which reflects the high entry barriers to the top jobs as those firms seek candidates who bring with them their personal contacts and have forged their own reputations.
