Types of health insurance among U.S. men who were in foster care, 2011-2017
Data from 2011 to 2017 shows that a lower percentage of men who had ever been in foster care were covered by private health insurance at the time of interview than those who had not been in foster care, and a higher percentage were covered by Medicaid. Also, a higher percentage of men who had been in foster care were uninsured compared with those who had not been in foster care. This statistic shows the distribution of types of health insurance among U.S. men aged 18-44 who had been in foster care compared to those who had not from 2011-2017.
