Consumer attitude towards impact of writers and actors strikes in the U.S. 2023

A recent survey shows that many consumers in the Unites States did not think the writers and actors strikes will affect their viewing habits personally, with 34 percent reporting no impact and 31 percent expecting minimal impact. However, six percent thought that the strike will significantly affect them, and 17 percent anticipated a fair amount of influence on their movie and TV consumption habits. Both SAG-AFTRA and WGA have been striking against working conditions, residuals, and the increase regulation of generative AI.
