In 2010, Brazil was the world's top coffee producer and produced approximately 2.9 million metric tons of coffee. One year before, coffee production in Brazil stood at around 2.4 million metric tons. With some 1.1 million metric tons of coffee produced, Vietnam was ranked second among the world's leading coffee producers in 2010.
