This statistic displays the development of retail clinic visits from 2011 to 2015, in number of visits per 1,000 members. From 2011 to 2015, the annual annual number of visits almost doubled. A retail clinic is defined as an acute outpatient clinic in a retail setting (pharmacies, retail stores, supermarkets, etc.). According to the study, the average annual growth rate was around around 19 percent. However, growth rates in retail clinic visits remain low when compared to other acute outpatient care clinics.
