Sinking Trust in U.S. Institutions

According to Edelman's latest Trust Barometer, the last twelve months has seen an erosion of trust in key U.S. institutions. Compared to last year, the share of survey respondents saying they to some degree trust government to do the right thing fell by 14 percentage points to 33 percent. This was the largest fall, with business, NGOs and the media experiencing drops of 9, 10 and 5 points, respectively.
