Fatal Work Injuries Continue to Fall in the U.S.

According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, 4,383 fatal work injuries were recorded in the United States in 2012, a substantial decrease on previous years. Fatal occupational injuries are down a massive 25 percent on 2006 when 5,840 people lost their lives at work across the country.

Indeed, 2006 was one of the worst years in living memory for fatal occupational accidents. Since then however, it has been primarily good news. Fatal work injuries fell to 5,214 in 2008 and 4,551 in 2009.
