GB survey on rape reveals alarming results

Rachel Krys, co-director of the End Violence Against Women Coalition, has described the results of a survey on what people in Great Britain think constitutes rape as "alarming". As our infographic shows, the survey, conducted by YouGov, reveals that 36 percent of men (and 31 percent of women) think that if a woman doesn't want to have sex but is pressured into it without the use of physical violence, she has not been raped. Krys continued, saying that "These figures are alarming because they show that a huge proportion of UK adults – who make up juries in rape trials – are still very unclear about what rape is.
