More Immigrant Countries See Diversity Positively

According to a new survey by the Pew Research Center, 11 out of 18 countries hosting half the world’s migrants are seeing newcomers positively rather than as a burden. Topping the list were Canadian respondents, followed by those in Australia and the UK.

Eastern European nations as well as Italy and Greece were the places where negative sentiments against immigration prevailed. Researchers for Pew noted that countries which answered more positively were hosting larger numbers of immigrants as compared to the ones not in favor.
