Jews View Muslims Most Favorably in the U.S.

Different religious groups in the U.S. view Muslims differently – it's Jews who have the most favorable opinion of the group. In a survey by the Institute for Social Policy and Understanding, 53 percent of Jews said they viewed Muslims favorably, compared to 39 percent of Catholics and 24 percent of religiously non-affiliated Americans.

White Evangelical Christians were the group surveyed that saw Muslims least favorably. 44 percent of White Evangelicals said that they were unfavorable towards the group. They were also the only group with a majority holding a negative opinion, with most Protestants claiming “no opinion” on Muslims.
