Covid-19

Staying in after the lockdown?

Although the UK has started to ease its coronavirus lockdown, this doesn't necessarily mean that the general public are ready to take advantage of the new found freedoms. As the latest Statista COVID-19 Barometer survey indicates, the majority of people in the UK would still be wary about visiting a wide range of locations, even if the government would allow them to do so.

Despite an announcement on pub openings being imminent, at the top of the 'avoid list' are pubs, bars and clubs. The idea of spending time in an enclosed space with people drinking alcohol is, while surely tempting, not one most people are drawn to for the time being. Similarly, concerts, cinemas and theatres would likely not be frequented by many people at this stage were it made possible.
