How Widespread Is Belief In QAnon?

As Donald Trump's second impeachment trial gets under way, a CBS News/YouGov poll of 2,508 respondents has found that 56 percent of Americans support convicting him while 44 percent are opposed. Conspiracy theories may came up over the course of the trial and the research also asked people about their thoughts on QAnon.

Among those who have heard about that particular conspiracy theory, 13 percent of Democrats state that it is certainly or probably true while 73 percent consider it certainly or probably false. Among Republicans, the share who say it is certainly or obviously true increases to 23 percent while 43 percent consider the QAnon conspiracy mostly or somewhat false.
