A survey conducted in 2021 found that those who identify with the Republican Party were more likely to adhere to various components of the conspiracy theories known as QAnon. Around 15 percent of surveyed Americans believe that because things have gotten so far off track in the U.S., true American patriots may have to resort to violence in order to save the country.
