When Americans Worry About Online Privacy

The recent incident which saw private pictures of celebrities stolen and published online, reignited the discussion about online privacy and about whether online services such as Apple's iCloud can be trusted with private information.

The results of WP Engine's Online Privacy Survey, conducted by Harris Poll in June 2014, shine a light on when Americans are most concerned about their online privacy. Interestingly, people appear to be very concerned about online privacy when a breach of the latter could entail financial damages, but considerably less so when personal embarrassment is all they have to fear.
