Online travel platforms attract international visitors to the United States

An Oxford Economic study shows that more than twice as many international travelers use online travel platforms compared to the US market average. In 2019, the year before the coronavirus pandemic drastically altered the travel landscape, close to half of all online travel platform bookings in the US were made by travelers from abroad. Yet even in 2020 and 2021, international travelers preferred online booking websites to book their holidays. A significant contributing factor to these figures is most likely the international recognition online booking websites like Booking.com have, and their availability in multiple languages makes it easier for travelers from non-English speaking countries to access them.
