European Accommodation Barometer Fall 2023: Hotels have an edge over STRs

The 3rd edition of the European Accommodation Barometer shows that in Europe, hotels reported better business performance than short-term rentals (STRs). For example, 64% of surveyed hotels reported good to very good development of average daily rate (ADR), compared to 49% of STRs.

This and other insights regarding the recovery of European tourism and the sentiment of EU hoteliers are included in the Fall 2023 European Accommodation Barometer, the third study of hoteliers conducted by Statista in collaboration with Booking.com, surveying accommodation executives and managers from across Europe.
