What Do The Final Polls Say?

With election day underway, the infographic below pulls together a selection of the final polls, showing that in the vast majority of cases, Clinton is expected to triumph. However, given the general unpredictability of this extraordinary election and its Republican candidate, Democrats are far from bullish when it comes to their chances. Looking to the past, there is also plenty of reason to show restraint - in 2012, the final poll from Gallup had Romney leading Obama by one point.
