75,000 Children In Nigeria At Risk Of Starving To Death

Terror group Boko Haram has been devastating areas of Central and Western Africa since 2009. Having recently been pushed out of their stronghold region of Borno in Nigeria, the United Nations warns that humanitarian assistance is needed for an estimated 14 million people in the area. As the infographic below shows, of this number, 400,000 are thought to be children, 75,000 of which are "going to die in the few months ahead of us", according to UN humanitarian co-ordinator Peter Lundberg.
