The United States dominates the globe when it comes to its share of dollar millionaires. Over forty percent of the world's individuals with a fortune of at least one million U.S. dollars reside in the US. Japan has the second largest share of the rich, with twelve percent. As of 2016, China has a relatively small five percent.
