Who Spends the Most on Their Child's Education?

When it comes to funding of their child’s education, parents in Hong Kong are leading the way with an average spend of $132,161. This is what HSBC found in a recently published study by surveying 8,481 parents in 15 countries. The United Arab Emirates comes second with $99,378 while Singapore rounds off the top three with $70,939 in expenditure on a child’s primary, secondary and tertiary education.

The report further reveals that 87% of all parents surveyed support their child in educational funding, with the highest percentage (98%) in Indonesia and the lowest in France (76%) and the UK (71%).
