Donald Trump

Trump Viewed More Negatively Than Other Presidents

Nearly nine months after his victory in the 2016 election, the U.S. public holds a deeply negative view of Donald Trump. A new Washington Post-ABC News survey has found that Trump has an approval rating far lower than any previous presidents in November of their first term in office. Currently, 59 percent disapprove of Trump while 37 percent approve. At the same point in his presidency, Barack Obama had a disapproval rating of 40 percent while 57 percent approved of him. George W. Bush had an exceptionally high approval rating of 89 percent nine months into his presidency.
