The Biggest App Stores

Apple has generated a record breaking $300 million in revenue through its app store – on New Year's Day alone. In total, the Cupertino tech giant raked in more than $11.4 billion in revenue in 2017 for the company itself. Still, by count of the number of apps available, Google runs the biggest store, boosted by its very widely-used Android operating system. Microsoft's Windows store, even though its mobile operating system has all but vanished from the scene, is in third place, just a little ahead of Amazon, who doesn't provide apps for iOS but Android.
