Which Countries Worry The Most About Healthcare?

On Monday, Donald Trump tweeted that people in the UK were marching on the streets because their universal healthcare system is broken and not working. In fact, thousands of Britons took to the streets in support of the NHS and called for better government funding. Trump's tweet was widely criticised and his claim was also swiftly rebuked by British Prime Minister Theresa May.

Britons are proud of the NHS and some observers have pointed out that the UK spends a lower share of its GDP on healthcare than the U.S. while enjoying longer life expectancy. The funding issues are a concern, however, and according to Ipsos, 42 percent of people in the UK were worried about their healthcare system in January 2018. Elsewhere, 38 percent of respondents in both China and the U.S. said they were worried about the health system. Concern was highest in Hungary at 72 percent.
