76 Percent More Mobile Advertising Revenue

During April and June, Facebook’s revenue rose to 1.8 billion U.S. dollars, a 53 percent increase on the same period last year. The most important factor behind this increase was mobile advertising.

Ads on smartphones and tablets yielded approximately 656 million U.S. dollars – 76 percent more than in the previous quarter (a comparative figure for the same quarter last year is not available).

In contrast, desktop advertising revenue fell by five percent. The social network earned 11.5 percent more than last year through the Payments segment. However, this experienced a stagnation in revenue in comparison to the first quarter.
