Clothes: Where the size doesn't match the label

Most women know what clothes size they wear and, likewise, most have also had the annoying experience of trying on their size in a shop only to find that it's too small - even more frustrating if they ordered online. When discussing the topic it is often said that certain shops are more often guilty of this than others and, according to a new survey by YouGov, this is indeed the case.

Of the respondents that have tried on or bought clothes from the outlets, Miss Selfridge was cited the most with 68 percent saying their clothes are too small for their stated size. More reliable is apparently Marks and Spencer's, for which only ten percent levelled this accusation. These results are of course only representative of the opinions of consumers and do not necessarily reflect the actual clothes sizes of these outlets.
