Where Murder Has The Highest Economic Impact

Murder can have a devastating impact on a country's economy. El Salvador is a notable example and it is struggling with a homicide rate of 51 per 100,000 of its inhabitants. Rampant crime is seriously hampering its economic growth and homicide's impact on GDP is 43 percent, according to the Institute for Economics and Peace. It also accounts for 25 percent of Honduras' GDP and 21 percent of Lesotho's GDP.
