The state of the UK supermarket landscape

Nielsen's most recent analysis of the UK supermarket landscape reveals the share of grocery sales taken by the countries retailers in the 12 weeks to 10 August 2019. Tesco is at the top, taking a 26.4 percent slice of the market, with the closest rival considerably far behind with 14.3 percent - Sainsbury's. German discounters ALDI and Lidl are still firmly in the mix, taking 9.5 percent and 6.6 percent, respectively.
