Electric vehicle charging infrastructure in the UK

The number of public electric vehicle charging devices in the UK has been increasing each year - currently at 19,487 - but access to this infrastructure varies greatly across the country. Department for Transport figures show that drivers of electric vehicles in London are best situated to keep their wheels rolling, where there are 63 charging devices per 100,000 people. Second-placed Scotland is far behind with 37, although considering the density of London's population the Scottish figure is arguably more impressive. As this infographic illustrates, drivers in Northern Ireland have the worst device-to-population ratio.
