Males Account For The Majority Of Drug Deaths In The UK

4.8 percent of men and 1.5 percent of women in England and Wales have used drugs frequently over the past 12 months, according to official figures. This is also reflected by a disproportionate death rate. In 2013, 2,098 men died from drug-related poisoning and misuse compared to 923 females.
