25 Years of Progress in the Fight Against Smoking

Our latest Racing Bars video shows how much progress has been made since the turn of the millennium alone, with smoking prevalence among persons aged 15 and older dropping by 30 to 60 percent between 2000 and 2020 in countries like the United States, Germany, Japan and Brazil. The WHO’s data also reveals an interesting outlier, a country that seems immune to tobacco-control measures for no apparent reason.
