In a global survey of travelers about their experiences and knowledge of Europe as a travel destination, 53% of respondents said they were unaware that Europe has one of the world’s most extensive networks of national and regional parks. However, 69% indicated they would be more likely to visit Europe if they had known this. Among the proposed facts, Europe’s safe, well-managed travel environments and festival offerings were the best known and the most likely to motivate visits to the region.
