Between the second quarter of 2020 and the second quarter of 2021, the price of residential property (including both newly-constructed as well as existing property) rose in all countries in the European Union, except for Cyprus, where it decreased by close to five percent. In Luxembourg, house prices grew the most of all EU countries, increasing with over 16 percent. The source measured this by comparing the HPI in the mentioned timeframes. On average, the price of a house within the European Union increased by 7.3 percent.
