Inflation rate of average consumer prices in largest economies in Europe 1980-2021

In 2020 the inflation rate in all five of Europe's largest economies fell following the impact of the Coronavirus pandemic, with Spain experiencing a slight degree of deflation. During the provided time period, inflation has fallen significantly since the 1980s, when the UK, France, Italy and Spain all had double-figure inflation rates.
