UK set to outspend European counterparts this Christmas

It's that time of year again. For those celebrating Christmas, the chance to spend precious time with family and friends is priceless. For most, Christmas also involves spending something else precious - money. Gifts are unfortunately not priceless, with trillions spent around the world each year. As our chart below shows, shoppers in the UK are due to outspend their European counterparts this season by quite a margin. Christmas spending is forecast at 75.46 billion pounds, 12 billion more than in Germany. That equates to a lot of gifts under the tree.
