Average Christmas spending in the UK 2019-2020, by region

According to a recent survey, average spending on gifts and celebrations for Christmas is expected to decrease in almost all of the regions of the United Kingdom (UK) in 2020 compared to the previous year. Largest decline in average spending is expected to be in Yorkshire and Humberside, as consumers in this region stated that they will be spending 379 British pounds in Christmas this year, around 58 British pounds less than the previous year. On the other hand, Christmas spending in Wales is expected to remain unchanged in 2020 with an average of 420 British pounds.
